In addition to the basic entry education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level defined as providing policy/procedural guidance to state, local, and/or tribal agencies to develop regulations or required revisions to State Implementation Plans (SIP); and conducting rulemaking actions for approval/disapproval of state-submitted source-specific SIP revisions. You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully: Critical Thinking Environmental Laws and Regulations* Physical Science* Oral Communication Technical Knowledge (Related to Position)* Written Communication Problem Solving Stakeholder Management *You will be evaluated on these critical competencies.
