Requirements: Participates in local advisory groups and councils, or command briefs related to human performance and presents performance-based data to higher level leadership within Semper Fit, makes recommendations on performance assessment protocols, subjective data collection methods, maintains relationships by collaborating with WARR providers through meetings, emails, and other installation communication methods. Establishes relationships with civilian organizations to improve the health and performance of Marines and other authorized patrons. Works with other installation performance and sport professionals to help develop implement standardized performance protocols recommended by Headquarters Semper Fit. Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Human Performance, Sport & Exercise Science or related field with statistical training or expertise. Master¿s degree preferred. AND 1 year of applicable experience. Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach from Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Association or National Strength and Conditioning Association required. Ability to obtain a Sports/Performance science certification from an accredited organization such as the NSCA Performance Sport Scientist (within 6 months of hire). Collegiate or high school sports experience preferred Knowledge and understanding of performance and sport data collection, quality, management, and interpretation and usability of health and performance measures. The ability to assess the effectiveness of performance and sport technology such as athlete management systems, mechanical sensing systems designed to measure ground reaction forces, gait analysis and maximal oxygen consumption for military readiness and resilience. This includes informing staff about new athlete management and performance assessment technologies, conducting research on athlete monitoring systems, and implementing solutions to improve processes and communication within the WARR structure.
