Requirements: Manages distribution and movement of secure information that is proprietary, privileged, confidential or otherwise legally exempt from disclosure such as treatment records, follow-up care, reconditioning programs, referrals, and subjective, objective, assessment, and planning notes. Inspects and ensures installations safeguards sensitive information and prevents unauthorized reading, printing, retaining, copying, or dissemination of information, messages, or correspondence in accordance with rules and regulations such as those covered by the Privacy Act, 5 USC 552(a), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Public Law 104-191, and DoD Directive 6025.18. The incumbent notifies supervisor immediately when proprietary information has been released and advises on how to properly recover and protect information. May serve as a participant in advisory boards, working groups, and collaborations related to MCTF, WARR, and other committees to enhance primary prevention efforts across the Marine Corps. Requires a valid Driver's License. Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree or higher in Nutrition, Dietetics, Sports Nutrition, and Food and Nutrition Sciences is required AND one year's experience in an athletic or military performance environment. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), candidates must meet several educational and professional requirements established by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics Registration (CDR) ACEND-Accredited Coursework education must include; completion of a didactic program in dietetics (DPD) or a coordinated program (CP) accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Knowledge of sports and performance dietetic and the implementation of performance-based nutrition practices that encompass social, psychological, physiological, and cultural influences of food choices in athletic, military, or first responder environments.
