Requirements: Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing voice radio communications network equipment; Contributing to the design, configuration, and implementation of voice communications networks (for example, assisting with the design or upgrade of multi-site radio systems, including repeaters, base stations, and associated infrastructure); Applying telecommunications hardware and software tools to configure, monitor, and manage radio networks; Coordinating and monitoring contractor performance on telecommunications projects by verifying that vendor-delivered equipment and services meet technical specifications and documenting results or deficiencies; Preparing written technical documentation and reports (for example, drafting test reports, technical findings, or recommendations for changes to network systems that require funding or leadership approval).
