Specialized Experience Requirement: For the GS-14 level: Applicants must have one-year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13. Qualifying specialized experience is defined as one or more of the following: Specialized experience is defined as experience evaluating, analyzing, developing, managing, or improving information technology architectures, systems, policies, procedures, and requirements and current developments and/or trends in one or more IT specialties or disciplines. Specialized experience in web and desktop geospatial information systems especially valuable. Providing leadership and expert technical advice to management to explore, develop, and implement new information technology techniques and methodologies. Developing solutions to unique or unusually complex problems regarding information technology operations. AND Information Technology (IT) related experience must also demonstrate each of the nine competencies listed below: Attention to Detail – Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service – Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
